For our client near Kassel we are looking for an Automation Software Engineer (m/f/d).

Tasks:

•    Producing maintainable, high-performance code optimized for memory usage

•    PLC programming focused on Siemens SCL, implementing process control according to ISA-88 standards

•    Designing and integrating automated unit and regression testing frameworks

•    Documenting design specifications, functional tests, and quality assessments in compliance with GMP standards

•    Developing and incorporating device drivers for sensors and actuators

•    Performing software validation directly on the target hardware

•    Collecting and analyzing both functional and technical requirements to create tailored automation solutions



Requirements:

•    Adoption of agile methodologies such as Scrum and version control tools

•    Siemens TIA Portal and Structured Control Language (SCL)

•    Implementation of ISA-88 process automation standards

•    Expertise in driver development and protocols including Modbus RTU/TCP, CAN, and Ethernet/IP

•    Compliance with GMP regulations

•    Usage of Git, Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines, and CI/CD systems

•    Programming and scripting with PowerShell and C#

•    Employing test automation and unit testing frameworks
