Technical Project Lead & Control-M Scheduling Expert
Responsibilities
Lead the File Transfer & NAS migration workstream, ensuring secure, compliant, and performant data migration.
Manage stakeholders across infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams.
Design and implement migration strategies, including fallback and cut-over scenarios.
Analyze, adapt, and test approx. 1,500 Control-M jobs impacted by the migration.
Adjust job dependencies, environment variables, and file paths in the new datacenter.
Conduct end-to-end testing and validation of scheduling workflows and file transfer processes.
Provide incident management and troubleshooting during cut-over and stabilization.
Document and hand over solutions to operations.
Key Skills
Proven experience as a technical project lead in datacenter or infrastructure migrations.
Strong expertise in NAS/File Transfer technologies (NetApp, DFS, NFS/CIFS, MFT tools, SFTP/FTPS).
In-depth hands-on knowledge of BMC Control-M workload automation and scheduling.
Familiarity with large-scale job landscapes (1,000+ jobs).
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of project management methodologies (Prince2, PMI, Agile).
Advantageous: scripting (Shell, PowerShell, Python), security/compliance background (ISO27001, GDPR).
Details
Location: Remote / Onsite as required during cut-over.
Duration: 12 months (extension possible).
Workload: Full-time (100%).
