Role: SAP FPSL
Hiring Mode: Freelance contract for 1 year with extension
Location: Germany (Hybrid)
Language: English & German proficiency
Responsibility:
Planning, lead and manage SAP FPSL implementation or enhancement projects within banking institutions.
Design end-to-end FPSL solutions aligned with business requirements, focusing on financial and regulatory reporting, profitability analysis, IFRS/GAAP compliance and Data Governance.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Controlling and IT to ensure effective requirements gathering and solution alignment.
Perform data modelling, configuration, customizing and integration of SAP FPSL with SAP S/4HANA, SAP FI/CO, SAP Analytics Cloud and other systems.
Drive data migration from existing planning processes and ETL processes.
Interface conception and implementation using tools and systems like SLT, SAP BW/4HANA, and FSDM.
Conduct system testing, validation, and support go-live activities including cutover planning and handover to production.
Provide post-implementation support, training of key users, and documentation.
Stay updated with SAP roadmap and emerging FPSL capabilities to advise clients on continuous improvement.
Must have skills:
10+ years of experience in the banking or financial services sector, including functional knowledge of finance, risk, and regulatory processes.
In-depth FPSL experience with at least of 3-5 years of practical experience with SAP FPSL.
Prior experience with SAP Bank Analyzer, AFI, or Smart AFI.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like BCBS 239, Basel III, and local banking compliance and data governance rules.
Project management experience or Agile/Waterfall delivery exposure.
Experience working in international or multi-bank environments
Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS 9, IFRS 17, etc.), subledger processing, and financial instruments.
Customizing and implementation experience with SAP FSDM, SAP BW/4HANA, S/4HANA Finance, SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BI/BO or SAP BW/4HANA and integration tools.
Ideally certified in FPSL
Ability to lead workshops, gather requirements, and create detailed solution designs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Team player, independent working style.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Languages: German (fluent), English (good)
Optional:
Experience in Interface (IDOC, CPI/PI, RFC)
Knowledge of Scripting (ABAP/OO)
