Senior Accountant / Financial Reporting Specialist (HGB/IFRS) - 2 Positions

Location: Tägerwilen, Switzerland Contract Duration: 6 months Onsite Requirement: Ideally 2 days per week onsite, remainder remote Language Requirements: Very good English (B2+) - German is nice-to-have, not mandatory Number of Positions: 2



About the Role:

We are looking for two experienced Accountants Specialists. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate accounting, compliance with reporting standards, and effective collaboration across departments. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in external audit or structured corporate accounting, with expertise in German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS standards.

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS

Ensure compliance with German tax regulations (direct and indirect taxes)

Manage and reconcile accounts, including travel expense processes

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and audits

Utilise Oracle and other financial systems for accurate data management

Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements

Work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines



Required Qualifications & Skills:



MSc in Accounting/Finance or equivalent qualification (e.g., Bilanzbuchhalter)

3-5 years of experience in external audit (preferably in manufacturing) or corporate accounting

Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (HGB/IFRS)

Strong understanding of German tax procedures

Proficient in Excel and experienced with financial systems (e.g., Oracle)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Very good English (B2+)
