Job Summary
Role: Remote Desktop Support Engineer
Contract: 6 months
Location: Hybrid (Erlangen preferred, Berlin possible), 3 days WFO
Language: German C1 required
Experience: 4–6 years in IT support/desktop support
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
Troubleshoot Windows 10/11 desktops, system errors, and application crashes.
Install and configure applications, updates, and user settings.
Support Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Office 365 services.
Handle account management via Azure AD or on-prem AD.
Provide VDI troubleshooting where needed (connectivity, performance, app conflicts).
Collaboration
Liaise with Application Owners, Level 1 & 3 Support, vendors, and QA teams.
Act as a single point of contact for laptops without onsite support.
Escalate complex issues appropriately.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed ticket documentation in tools like ServiceNow or Jira.
Track issue resolution steps, generate reports, and identify trends.
Required Qualifications
Fluency in German (C1)
Bachelor’s in IT or related field
4–6 years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk
Strong knowledge of Windows 11 administration
Experience with Outlook, Teams, and Office 365 suite
Familiarity with AD/Azure AD, networking basics, and remote support tools (AnyDesk, TeamViewer, SCCM, Intune)
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Nice-to-Have / Flexible
Knowledge of macOS, VDI, or other platforms is not required.
The strict JD requirements can be relaxed for a strong candidate.
