Location: Bad Homburg, Germany Language Requirement: German at native level (C2) Employment Type: ContractIndustry: Financial Services / LeasingRole OverviewAn experienced Senior IT Operations resource to play a lead role in the operational backbone of a regulated financial services organization (leasing). This role combines responsibility for traditional data center operations with modern cloud infrastructure management and requires proven experience in BaFin regulatory audits like §44 and §45.The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong operational leadership, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments while driving modernization and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all aspects of IT Operations, including data center infrastructure, servers, storage, networks, virtualization, and middleware.Ensure stable, secure, and compliant IT operations aligned with BAIT, MaRisk, and internal governance frameworks.Oversee the design, provisioning, and operation of cloud environments (Azure/AWS), including monitoring, automation, and cost optimization.Plan and execute cloud migration initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with existing on?premise systems and adherence to regulatory requirements.Prepare, coordinate, and support BaFin audits under §44 and §45 KWG, including documentation, evidence collection, findings management, and remediation programs.Manage relationships with external service providers and outsourcing partners in accordance with BAIT outsourcing requirements.Enhance and maintain ITIL-based processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, Capacity, and Availability Management.Collaborate closely with Information Security, Compliance, Risk Management, Data Protection, and Internal Audit.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT Operations specialists, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.German skills should be at native level (C2) and fluency in English.
