We are looking for a Data Engineer (m/f/d) for our client.

Responsibilities:

•    Design, optimize, and maintain integrated data models (Data-Mesh approach) for customer-facing reporting solutions

•    Ensure database performance and scalability to meet non-functional requirements (NFRs)

•    Actively contribute to the Community of Practice (CoP) Data by sharing knowledge and best practices



Requirements:

•    Proficiency in SQL and experience with complex data models

•    Strong knowledge of data modeling approaches (e.g., normalization, star schema, data vault)

•    Hands-on experience with non-transactional SQL systems (e.g., Impala, Trino, Spark, Hive)

•    Solid background in relational databases (preferably Azure SQL) and performance optimization for reporting with large datasets

•    Familiarity with columnar storage (preferably Azure SQL)

•    Practical experience with git for version control

•    Exposure to dbt, Jenkins, and SCRUM methodology

•    Knowledge of Python and Java programming

•    Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes

•    Very good English skills and basic German
