We are seeking a “Senior Enterprise Power BI Developer” (m/f/d) for our client.Project DescriptionJoin an international data and reporting project, where you will support the development and optimization of mission-critical Power BI reports and semantic models based on a Common Data Platform. The goal is to establish stable and efficient development processes, define best practices, and deliver highly available reporting solutions for various global stakeholders. This role is pivotal for advancing the data architecture and ensuring governance, security, and compliance within the reporting landscape.Key ParametersStart: As soon as possibleDuration: 4 months, with possible extension until September 2026Workload: Full-time (100%)Location: 80% remote, 20% on-site in Düsseldorf (approx. 4 days on-site per 4-week sprint)ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain Power BI reports and semantic models aligned with Common Data Platform standardsDesign and implement efficient data models (star and snowflake schemas)Establish and enforce development best practices (version control, CI/CD, deployment using ADO and Git)Manage and optimize Power BI Premium/Fabric environments (governance, security, compliance)Implement and maintain semantic model refresh strategies (Import, DirectQuery, Composite)Collaborate with global stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutionsLeverage advanced tools such as Tabular Editor and TMSL/TMDL for model optimization and lifecycle managementContribute to architectural discussions and support the adoption of modern data architecture patterns (e.g., Medallion)Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, ensuring continuous improvement of reporting solutionsMentor and guide junior developers, fostering knowledge sharing within the teamExperience & SkillsAt least 5 years of development experience in an enterprise environmentProven track record in Power BI development and delivery (front-end and semantic models)Experience with Power BI Premium/Fabric and various connection/refresh patterns (Import/Direct/Composite)Strong data modeling skills (star/snowflake schema)Experience with ADO, Git, CI/CD, and version control best practices (TMSL/TMDL)Knowledge in Power BI governance (tenant, domain, workspace setup)Proficient in (T-)SQLNice to have: Experience with Fabric or Databricks PySpark, architecture patterns such as MedallionTeam player with a “can-do” attitude and excellent communication skillsAbility to bridge technical and business requirements and deliver effective solutionsExperience working in a dynamic, international environmentStrong decision-making abilities and strategic visionLanguages: Proficient English communication skills (written and spoken) required; German language skills are beneficial
