For our costumer, we are looking for a Data Site Reliability Engineer (m/f/d) to start in January 2026.
Location: Remote & onsite in Berlin / FFM
Tasks include:
- Enhancement and refining of processes to manage incidents, problems, releases, and changes efficiently, minimizing disruption and ensuring continuity.
- Contributing to the design and implementation of streamlined CICD and IaC/GitOps processes to improve development efficiency and operational stability.
- Contribution to the development and enhancement of data services, ensuring high levels of reliability and stability.
Profile Requirements
The contractor must be at a mid level as a Data Site Reliability Engineer with following experience:
Must-have experience
- Operational experience with productive applications or systems (ideally containerized and distributed)
- Thorough knowledge of containerization and container management, packaging of applications and customization of deployments, proven by a traceable project history
- Experience in the management of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with various relational and non-relational data technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL, Kafka, TimescaleDB, MongoDB etc.)
- Experience with automation and infrastructure as code and/or gitOps
Must-have language skills:
- Proficiency in both speech and writing in English (at least C1)
- Proficiency in both speech and writing in German (at least B2)
Preferred experience
- Experience with the usage of observability tools
- Experience with Kubernetes operators (with custom-build operators being a plus)
- Experience with hyperscalers (GCP and others)
- Experience with data technologies
- Good understanding of networking concepts, including protocols, load balancing, and security
- Knowledge of ITSM frameworks
